Terms of Use
Mr. White is a party game made by BELIKELY UNITED LLP ("we", "us"). By downloading or playing it, you agree to these terms. They're short because the app is simple: games with friends are free and run on your own devices; games with bots run on our servers and use credits.
Who can play
You need to be at least 13 to use Mr. White. If you're under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian should agree to these terms with you.
Using the app
- We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use Mr. White for your own, non-commercial play.
- Don't copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the app, and don't use it to break any law or to harass other players.
- Pick a name that's fine for everyone to see: in the room and, if you play with bots and show your name, on the leaderboards. Don't impersonate anyone, and don't use names or friend codes to harass, spam or mislead.
- Don't try to game the leaderboards or the credits (for example, by faking results, automating play or abusing free credits).
Games with friends
Rooms run directly between the devices on your WiFi network or hotspot. We don't see these games. The host's device runs each game, so a game ends if the host closes the app for good.
Bots and AI
The bots are AI players, marked with a sparkle. Their clues, lines and votes are made by AI as the game goes, so they can be wrong, odd or off the mark, and they don't speak for us. They're for fun: don't rely on them for anything else. If a line seems inappropriate, report it in the app. Bot games need an internet connection, and we may pause or change the bots at any time.
Credits
- Bot games use credits. The price of each game is shown before it starts, and credits are only used when it starts. If our servers fail during a game before anyone has voted, that game's credits come back.
- Credits you buy never expire. Free credits, where offered, last 14 days. Credits have no cash value, can't be transferred, and can only be used in Mr. White.
- Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play, under their terms; refunds are handled by the store you bought from. Nothing here limits your rights under consumer law.
- Deleting your bot-game data in Settings also deletes your credits, including bought ones.
- If we ever stop offering bot games for good, we'll give notice in the app first, and we'll refund unused bought credits where the law or the store requires it.
Community rules
Your name can be seen by other players: in rooms and, if you play with bots and show your name, on leaderboards. So names must not:
- be hateful, harassing, threatening or sexual, or mock anyone for who they are;
- use slurs, crude words or drug references, or promote violence or anything illegal;
- impersonate someone, or share anyone's personal details (yours included), links or ads.
Report a name by long-pressing it on a leaderboard, or hide that player from your boards. A name reported by several players is hidden automatically, and we review reports. If a name breaks these rules, we may hide or reset it, remove the player from leaderboards, reset scores that come from abuse or bugs, or stop them playing bot games. Friend codes are for adding people you know.
Your consent and your data
Bot games start only after you allow them in the app, which also means you agree to these terms. You can take that permission back, or delete your bot-game data, any time in Settings; see the Privacy Policy and how to delete your data.
Our content
The app, its name, the Mr. White character, the word lists, sounds and design belong to BELIKELY UNITED LLP. These terms don't give you any rights to them beyond playing the game.
App stores
If you got Mr. White from the App Store or Google Play, that store's own terms also apply. For apps from the App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement applies alongside these terms. Apple and Google aren't responsible for the app or its support; we are.
No warranty
We work to keep Mr. White fun and reliable, but it is provided "as is". We can't promise it will always work on every network or device, or that it will be free of bugs.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, BELIKELY UNITED LLP is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.
Privacy
How the app handles data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these terms when the app changes. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date. If you keep playing after a change, the updated terms apply.
